How Our Remote Consultation Works
A remote consultation allows you to receive an expert oncology opinion from GCCC's multidisciplinary team without the need to travel. This is ideal if you want to confirm a diagnosis, explore treatment options, or compare treatment plans before deciding to travel.
Who should consider a remote consultation? Patients with a new cancer diagnosis, those considering treatment abroad, patients who want a second opinion on their current treatment plan, and anyone who wants to understand their options before committing to travel.
The Process
Step 1: Submit Your Medical Records
Send us the following documents (we can guide you on what's needed based on your specific case):
- Pathology report (diagnosis confirmation)
- Imaging reports and DICOM files (CT, MRI, PET-CT)
- Treatment history (surgery, chemotherapy, radiation details)
- Recent lab results (blood tests, tumor markers)
- Current medication list
- Your specific questions and concerns
We arrange professional translation of your medical records at no additional cost.
Step 2: Multidisciplinary Team Review
Your case is reviewed by our MDT — medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and surgical oncologists — who discuss your diagnosis, staging, and treatment options together. This collaborative approach ensures a comprehensive assessment.
Step 3: Video Consultation
You'll have a 30-60 minute video consultation with a senior oncologist to discuss the team's findings and recommendations. A medical interpreter joins if needed. You can ask questions and discuss your concerns in detail.
Step 4: Written Report
Within 3-5 business days, you'll receive a comprehensive written report including:
- Diagnosis summary and staging assessment
- Recommended treatment plan with rationale
- Treatment timeline estimate
- Transparent cost estimate
- Answers to your specific questions
Remote Consultation Fee
Our remote consultation service fee will be deducted from your treatment cost if you choose to receive care at GCCC. We will provide the exact fee during your initial inquiry.
